Limited Warranty & Terms of Use

Effective Date: January 22, 2025

1. Limited Warranty

1.1 Warranty Coverage

MAGSi Inc. ("MAGSi") warrants that the MAGSi Light Switch Cover ("Product") shall be free from material or manufacturer defects under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date, as shown on the receipt ("Warranty Period").

1.2 Remedies

This warranty does not affect your rights under MAGSi’s standard return policy.

If a defect covered by this warranty arises during the Warranty Period, MAGSi will, at its discretion, replace the defective Product at no additional charge.

1.3 How to File a Claim

To make a warranty claim, the customer must:

  1. Contact hello@magsidesign.com with proof of purchase and a description of the defect.
  2. If required, return the defective Product according to instructions provided by MAGSi.
  3. MAGSi will review the claim and respond within 3-5 business days.
  4. Upon verification, MAGSi will issue a replacement.

1.4 Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Environmental damage, including exposure to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Damage caused by external electrical issues not related to the Product’s design and materials, such as faulty wiring or improper electrical work performed by the user.

 

2. Terms of Use

2.1 Proper Usage Guidelines

  • The Product is designed for indoor use only.
  • Follow standard safety precautions for all light switch faceplates.
  • Edges of the switch cover may be sharp—handle with care during installation.
  • Ensure compatibility with the intended switch type before installation.
  • MAGSi is not responsible for damages caused by incorrect installation, including but not limited to stripped screws, cracked plates from over-tightening, or improper mounting.

2.2 Safety Warnings

  • General Electrical Awareness: While the Product itself does not conduct electricity, users should avoid inserting fingers or foreign objects into the switch opening, as electrical components may still be accessible.

 

 

3. Limitation of Liability

3.1 No Indirect or Consequential Liability

MAGSi shall not be responsible for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, or data loss.
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from improper use, handling, or installation.
  • Damage to connected electrical components due to misuse of the Product.

3.2 Maximum Liability Cap

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAGSi’s total liability under this agreement is limited to the purchase price of the Product ($40).

 

 

4. Disposal Instructions

If the Product needs to be disposed of, simply discard it in accordance with local waste regulations.

 

 

4. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.

 

 

Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing and using the MAGSi Light Switch Cover, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Limited Warranty & Terms of Use.
